I used to play alot, but stopped for a while. I am still using the same pc and have had some lag issues that I didnt have when I used to play. None of my settings changed and I didnt update. I am using Optifine and patch 1.5.2. How can I decrease lag. Please help, I miss minecraft. Dont tell me I need to update game because I tried 1.6.2 and it was worse .

Opposite. If you want to play singleplayer, DOWNGRADE your game. I don't know what happened so that the game got severely screwed up for this to happen, but 1.2.5 has run faster. The game also has to run an internal server, but the real thing you gotta fear is the mighty and scary game renderer.
