I have been trying for hours to add mods to my daughters game. I have done the following trying to install MoCreatures mod:
downloaded WinRar for 64 bit, deleted metainf file in minecraft.jar, put the unzipped forge file into the minecraft.jar file, placed the GuiAPI file, unzipped, into the minecraft.jar file. Put the spawn and mocreatures (unzipped) into the mods file.
I also downloaded the 1.6.2 minecraft. When I open up any world in our game, the mods are not in place. I was able to get a texture/resource pack to work.
Any ideas? I am at my wits-end trying to get this to work for my daughter. she loves this game and has even started to record a youtube series of her playing minecraft. Help!
