I get random fps lag spikes, lowers my fps to 1-5 fps, for random amounts of time. It can either be for a second, or up to 10. I normally run the game at 200+ fps. I just recently started playing again with no problems in the past.
My system is as follows:
Windows 7 64 bit
2 560 Ti's
i5 2500 K overclocked to 4.5
8 gigs of ram
And the game is installed on my SSD
I have tried numerous solution, including switching to java 64 bit, which I was using before. Java 32 bit. Optifine and lowing everything to the lowest setting. Allocating more memory to minecraft through the shortcut method, 2 and 3 gigs. I have tried completely removing minecraft from my hd and downloading it again. I have tried with out any texture packs and mods. Tried running the game as admin. I have updated my drivers. I have disables SLI. Nothing seems to work. The only solution that might work is reformatting. And I really don't want to do that right now. Any help would be much appreciated.
Don't bump so much. If it hasn't been answered, it's probably not going to be. Anyway, Minecraft has lag spikes all the time. If you don't have Optifine, get it. It helps a lot with those pesky lag spikes.
