This is bugging me... I have a 1.5.2 client (mod'd using Forge and SmartMoving) but when I say "new profile," choose 1.5.2, create a folder for the game, then dump a copy of the old .minecraft folder into it, choosing that profile and saying "play" loads an unmodified 1.5.2 JAR, despite me making sure to copy my modified one...
So, in short, how can I import old 1.5.2 jars into the new launcher? (or do I have to go back to swapping out .minecraft folders when I want to play 1.5.2?)
The new launcher doesn't use a bin folder anymore and instead installs each minecraft.jar under a different folder called versions in .minecraft. So in order to transfer over an old version you need to put the minecraft.jar into that folder, which will allow you to play it with the new launcher.
