A problem with Forge installer

I have a vanilla minecraft v1.6.2 to which I am I trying to install forge. Every time I click on the forge installer .jar file it just opens up winrar rather than launching the installer. Can anyone tell me how I can get around this please? I have tried to remove winrar's association with .jar files but that does not help either.

You can right click forge installer, then go to "open with", click on "Java(TM) Platform SE Binary", and that should do it
