I recently bought minecraft and am having a lot of trouble getting mods to work. I installed forge for 1.6.2 with no trouble but when i tried to install the minions mod I realized that I cannot find the bin folder/minecraft.jar. I have it set to show hidden files, i did the %appdata% thing, and there just isn't a bin folder in my .minecraft.
my game works fine but i can't install mods without the bin and minecraft.jar. i'm really not sure why they are missing... am i missing something obvious?

This is a little strange, but easy to fix. First make sure it didn't wind up in the recycling bin. IF not, just redownload minecraft, but grab your saves folder. Heres the link:https://minecraft.net/download Hope this helped you out!
dont waste your time with whats his face says. :s (no offense) its actually right there infront of you. in "versions" so when they say to go to bin go to versions instead and from there look for the one your on (1.6) and click that and open the .jar file with one of em programs that opens things (sorry dont feel like thinking)

check to see if you can just throw the mod in the "mods" folder though because thats what forge is suppose to do :s load mods easily from the mods folder and what not...
