Well, up to last week, my minecraft client has been running great for me using the magic launcher, modloader, REI's minimap, infinitesloop controlpack pack and TMI. After trying to use mcpatcher on my original 1.5.2 jar with Azra's Arid pack, I FUBAR'd my jar and had to do a clean slate of the minecraft client. Ever since reinstalling my magic launcher and reapplying my mods through magic launcher in the 1.5.2 environment, my client has experienced INCREDIBLE lag. Even after closing all of my other applications, I was not able to recover my fps lag. (Pics of the f3 debug will be posted below as well as PC specs)
Here's the part that gets me, though...
Even though my F3 screen registers 55-90 FPS, it looks like I'm actually getting about 7-10 fps. As a side note, there is also a latency in mouse and keyboard recognition that was not there before.
Could this be a sudden hardware failure, or does it possibly have something to do with the way I have my different minecraft files organized and directed to the Magic Launcher? (I don't think this is the problem because this latency/lag problem is also in the official launcher.)
Here are some pics that hopefully will give as much information as possible. I don't know if this is all necessary, but I figured the more people knew the faster we could get this fixed.
This is in-game with the MODDED client on a server. Notice the usage is at 100%.
This is in-game with the ORIGINAL client in singleplayer. Notice the usage is NOT at 100%.
This is the MagicLauncher client setup from the first pic.
Could this have something to do with it?
Computer Specs
I have no idea what could have caused such a quick drop in performance. This IS LIMITED to Minecraft. All other programs run the same.
Pictures really do not do this problem justice. I'm sorry.
EDIT:
tl;dr... minecraft lags like crazy, F3 thinks everything is fine.
After some more searching, I've found that 1.6.2 is not affected by this bug. What I think happened is that a memory leak started once I used the 1.5.2 jar inside of application support/minecraft. This didn't happen while my 1.5.2 jar was outside of my minecraft folder and stored on my desktop to be accessed by the magic launcher. Has this been happening to anyone else?
