While trying to install a mod I accidentally deleted the bin file in Minecraft's %appdata%. I have a program that would automatically install the mod for me, but now it can't find the minecraft.jar file. I have already tried deleting the .minecraft folder in %appdata% and then reloading it by playing the game. Is there anything else I can try to do to get the folder back?
You can make Force Update, when i make equals you its my solution. If nevertheless your folder no show you can deleted your program for install mods after make force update.

IF you are 100% positive your minecraft folder is not in the recycling bin or on the computer, you're going to have to reinstall minecraft. Sorry I can't help you more, https://minecraft.net/download
Are you using the old launcher with 1.5? If so, open the launcher, click options, select force update, then click ok, then log in. If you are using 1.6 with the new launcher, then there isn't any bin folder. If you are using cracked minecraft, then go away and come back when you have bought the game.
If you have a lot of stuff in your recycling bin try searching for your bin. You can force update my clicking options then checking force update. Then just start the game. I am assuming you're using the old launcher since you have a bin.
I was using the old launcher, but I updated. Guess I'll figure out this mess now.
EDIT: I downloaded the old version/launcher and the mod worked. Thanks for helping me figure out what to do.
Do you have any idea of where it would be in the recycling bin, because I can't find it.
How do I make a "Force update"?
