Hi,
I've recently been quite disheartened because my computer simply cannot handle Minecraft, even on the lowest settings possible. I am using Minecraft 1.5.2 with no mods installed apart from Optifine Ultra, and with absolutely no other programs running in the background. And yet I cannot surpass an average of about 15 FPS at any one time, and with intense lag spikes.
Sadly, I feel like I have tried everything to optimise my PC for playing Minecraft; I have disabled services, deleted files and programs, set javaw.exe's priority to high, disabled my anitvirus software and installed many mods which claim to improve FPS drastically. Since my computer is currently a laptop, I cannot upgrade any of the (rather mediocre) parts, which include:
Intel Pentium P6200 2.13GHz dual core CPU
Intel HD Graphics
3.00 GB RAM
If there's anything you think I might have missed here, please do tell me, because I want to be able to play Minecraft without dying from lag!
It really just seems like your PC specs. Not to offend but from those specs alone it sounds like a budget computer from 2004.

It is. It was my first personal computer (well, not quite, but my first acceptable one), but as of now I don't really have the oppurtunity to upgrade, so I just want this to be bearable until I can.
EDIT: I've just found out it was only available since 2011. It is also a laptop, which makes it worse.

You will probably have to wait and save up money for a semi-decent desktop.

two things, pentium sucks on my opinion, maybe to others also, and 3 gigs of ram is fine, but no that great. also, what is the graphics card? if its accelerated, your doomed. soz bro.
