So recently I've updated to 1.6, only to find out that nodus is being discontined.
I did some lurking and found some good clients. I downloaded one of them, Rubix [Link] and set it up in a folder in .minecraft/versions/rubix. Then I booted up minecraft, made a new profile for the hacked client, and logged in. Everything worked fine, and I fooled around with the mod for a couple minutes. Then - Minecraft closed, for no apparent reason. I reopened it, and found out I am logged in, but the only button that is highlighted is the "logout", and not the "play" (or ever play offline).
I logged off, and logged back in,and realized the "login" button wasn't highlighted. I pressed enter, and it worked, logging me in, but it won't go past that. I checked the error log, and this is what I got:
Launcher 1.0.8 (through bootstrap 4) started on windows...
System.getProperty('os.name') == 'Windows 7'
System.getProperty('os.version') == '6.1'
System.getProperty('os.arch') == 'x86'

System.getProperty('java.vendor') == 'Oracle Corporation'

Download job 'Resources' skipped as there are no files to download

Then, I tried switching the profile to default .jar.
Same results. I deleted my .minecraft twice, and to no avail.
I can't play minecraft. What do I do?UPDATE: Now I'm getting this!:
Trying to log in...
Logging in with username & password
Logged in successfully
Getting syncinfo for selected version
Queueing library & version downloads
Couldn't go online
My internet connection is fine, it's something with minecraft.
I also checked if the minecraft login servers were down - nope.
