Hello there, this has been an issue for months, I have 64bit Java installed (7.25) on a 64bit W7 O/S
I have 8gb of RAM
I use texture packs

I've allocated over 3gb to my minecraft client (currently running technic)
I've also allocated it over 3gb in the java's control panel (parameters)

But it's never used more than 2,755,424 K

during dicier times it juggles 500mb chunks causing the client to judder and freeze momentarily.



Does anyone have minecraft using more than 3gb of memory in their task manager?

Why can't i achieve it, i've really googled the hell out of this but as u can imagine the net is full of `how to give minecraft more memory` threads.

they don't seem to work beyond 3gb
