I just downloaded the new launcher for the 1.6 update, and it doesn't have any of my mods on it, which is unfortunate because my main survival mode is comprised of many blocks from various mods. I haven't opened my world yet in case it would permanently delete these blocks, but is there a way I can get my mods back on the new launcher without having to re-download them so I can keep my stuff?
I'm pretty sure when you update your Minecraft it cleans out any changes you've made to it. I haven't used 1.6 yet though, but I have no reason to think it's any different. Just add your mods back into the game and it'll be fine.
If the mods you use haven't updated yet, there's not much you can do about it. Either wait for the mods to update or downgrade your .minecraft jar back to whatever you used before.
