First off I'm not entirely sure which forum this should be in (This or Texture Discussion... But this is the support forum, so I decided to go with this). Anyway:
I've been editing a texture pack (called September) and updating it to 1.5. Everything's been working fine except for one thing, which I will explain step by step since it's a little hard to explain. Here is what I do:
1) Start minecraft and load into my test world
2) In-game, I go to the options menu and switch to the September texture pack
- This works fine, and I can freely switch to and from that texture back-
3) Log out and close minecraft
4) Restart minecraft (With September still enabled from when I closed it)
5) If I try to load into my test world, the game crashes and gives me error #1 (see below)
Now, if instead I close minecraft with September enabled, then go back and from the main menu (before loading into a world) I try to change the texture pack back to default, or to another pack: I get error #2 (again, see below).
A couple extra bits of info:
- The problem only occurs with this September texture pack
- If I start minecraft in the default (Or any other) texture pack, I can switch freely to and from September both from the main menu and from in game
Error # 1

Edit: I get the same thing happening when I try the other texture pack I have that's from the same author.. So it must be something specific to how he did things... Can anyone give me an idea of what could be causing the errors so I know where to look?
Also, it's a 32x32 pack if that makes any difference.
Edit2: I have my client modified with MCPatcher, but other than that it's a clean install
Edit3: I doubled checked and it happens both with and without MCPatchter
Did your pack work with 1.4.7? If so, the format for texturepacks has changed between 1.4.7 and 1.5. I'm not entirely sure on how to transfer your pack over to 1.5, but you can download someone else's and then look at their file system and see how it differs from yours.
*facedesk* I said in my first post that I was updating it to 1.5... Yes, it worked before... And I have changed the format, it works perfectly fine as a texture pack except when I:
1) leave the texture pack on
2) Exit game
3) restart game and attempt to load into a world
If I do that, the game crashes.
Edit: Also, it's not my texture pack, I'm updating it for someone else
Alright, I've had the time to sit down and recreate the texture pack's folders, adding one thing at a time and testing until it broke... Turns out that it's something to do with the misc folder, I'm going to poke around and see if I can figure out what specific file is doing the breaking.

Not so sure it's a corrupt file so much as a file that wasn't made properly in the first place... I'll probably see if the author can remake the file once I find which one it is.
Off topic: I'm sorry if it came across rudely. However there's a very strong urging on most help forums for someone asking for help to post as much information as possible. I went through the trouble of listing as much of it as I could think of, so if I'm asked to provide as much information as possible to help speed everyone's time along, I don't see it as very much to ask that people read through what I posted and don't ask questions I've already given answers to... It kinda defeats the purpose of making everything easier by providing the info up front.

TLDR; I did as per forum rules provide as much info as possible, I'd like the respect given that you get that information right for the sake of everyone's time.
I don't believe there was one, but check other's texture packs. If it is a file format change, then you can look at how they formatted theirs and then transfer that over to yours.
