I've been playing with my mods (25 or so) in 1.5.1 for about a month or something, just being too lazy to change to 1.5.2 and update my mods. Well today I finally decided to do it. I went into my mods folder and deleted each mod, one after another, replacing each with their 1.5.2 counterpart. I then started up minecraft, hit the "yes" button when it asked if I wanted to update and waited. When it loaded up, no mods were shown to be working. I thought "Okay, that makes sense. I should be able to reload minecraft and it should detect my mods just fine." Well, I did that and it didn't work. Still doesn't show them working, even after I moved all the mods out of my mods folder, loaded minecraft, closed it, move them back, and loaded it again. Someone help? I'm not sure what's wrong...
I didn't think of that. I'll reinstall it right now and edit in this post if it worked or not.
Edit: No, it didn't work, or maybe I did something wrong? I installed the minecraftforge-src-1.5.2-7.8.1.737 file and dragged that zipped file into my mod prerequisites folder just like my earlier Forge files and my Modloader. Unlike the ForgeV608 and ForgeV630 and so on when I open this file instead of a "class" file it has a "forge" file. Did I do something wrong?
I am not completely sure I understand you. You don't need modloader if you have forge. Delete the minecraft jar and force update, copy the contents of a 1.5.2 forge zip into the minecraft jar and don't forget to delete the meta inf.
Not sure what prerequisites folder you mean, unless it is a backup folder for your reference.
