Well, I'm having an issue. It seems to be common around here: Lag.
I'm okay with computers but i'm not amazing so here are my specs from Speccy:

Also I'm running Optifine with pretty much everything turned to fast or off like alot of things say to do to make it faster. I allocated about 1gb then 2gb of ram to java itself, as well as minecraft launcher allocation dropbox, and set javaw.exe to high priority. the FPS is usually 20 and below, and I'm wondering why. At first I thought maybe i need more ram, but then i hit f3 and its not using even a quarter of the ram i allocated to it. I'm running the classic theme on windows, with visual features turned off... I dont run anything except maybe the few programs windows needs to function when im playing it. I'm thinking maybe a better processor but I checked and although it definitely isnt the best, its still a decent processor. I also use TooManyItems but other than that and Optifine, theres no other mods, texture packs, etc. I would really appreciate any help you could give me because its fustrating to have to play the Xbox version because theres alot that isnt on the xbox and the only reason i play it is because my minecraft for pc lags terribly. I'm sorry to say this but you're specs don't handle minecraft very well, Intel HD graphics are just poop at Minecraft and it's Intel Pentium, I can get 15 fps with Pentium at MAX with all optifine settings as low as possible. Nonetheless try this post by IronWaffle

Well I appreciate you taking the time to answer It's fine. I've had this computer for a long time now so I didn't expect much. I was however looking at the HP Envy desktop ( the 600 one . think its the 700-000z... Would that handle minecraft? It has some A8 5500 quad core... but if i go up 100 i can get an i5 so is there any difference? I mean I'm just looking for a computer that can handle minecraft at around 60fps minimum... I really am not a pc gamer so i'm not ever going to use the computer for any other gaming activities so just from a minecraft standpoint would it run it at max and 60fps or min and 60fps? Thanks again.

I searched and only found notebooks
Anyways, my cheap Asus K55VD Laptop ($516) Handles it at 180fps although I would recommend getting a desktop, but for none gamers, this will do~

Oh! And Remember to choose a computer with has a 2nd Graphics Card, Intel HD Graphics handles Minecraft like poop

Dedicated Graphics card right? and Yeah i found that out xD.. So would you recommend that laptop? i was looking it up and its quite hard to find a 500 dollar model.. I came across the 900 one .. and i found one on ebay but im not sure that buying a laptop on ebay is such a good idea so I guess ill keep looking but thank you for your help. and yes the envy desktops are on the front page i beleive
