Buildcraft must be installed with Forge and not Modloader or ModloaderMP, but my other mods like Timber! and Rie's Minimap require Modloader. Is there a way to have both Buildcraft and my other beloved mods without Modloader? (An equivalent maybe?)

I don't believe there is since Buildcraft and Timber! are coded for Modloader / Forge. Without one of it, it won't work. Forge comes with it's own ModLoader and it should work well with Timber! or Rie's Minimap, they also don't seem to have any compatibility issues when I use them (I use MagicLauncher), so I recommend using Forge.
