Complete noob here but I just had an aha moment and wanted to see if I was correct.
IF I am finally able to get forge and fml working on my vanilla client (a big if), do the mods need to be installed on BOTH the server and all clients that connect to the server, or just to the server? I was thinking that if mods were added they just need to be added to the server, but now I realize they might need to be on the client and the server.
