Ok, so I have downloaded the Magic launcher 1.1.4 for Minecraft(I'm using v1.5.2). I have added a couple of things to it like optifine and shader mods. But every time I click log in, the screen turns black. I have already deleted the META- INF folder in the minecraft.jar. It also says "(not responding)" after i try closing it.
I dont know if this is necessary but here is the magic launcher log:
MagicLauncher 1.1.4 java.home: C:\Program Files\Java\jre7 java.runtime.name: Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment java.runtime.version: 1.7.0_21-b11 os.name: Windows Vista os.version: 6.0 os.arch: x86 sun.arch.data.model: 32 Error loading: http://mojang.com/feed/: White spaces are required between publicId and systemId.
Have you made sure to install your mods in the correct order? It could cause corruption.
(If you are not using Modloader or forge you do not have to install them ofcourse).
1. Modloader
2. Forge
3. The mods you are using
4. Lastly Optifine (It has to be last)
Do you put these things in the magic launcher? If so than forge has 9 errors, I downloaded forge universal. If i'm not supposed to put it in the magic launcher, than where do I put the files I downloaded?
I did some research, and it looks like multiple people are having problems with Magic launcher and forge.
Try this: Backup all your saves and your current folder with mods, reset your magic launcher and do not install forge, just install optifine or some random mod which does not use forge.
That way we can see if forge is causing the problem.
So I deleted forge and backed up my minecraft mod and saves folder. I reset the magic launcher and the optifine said the status: 3 errors. I clicked it and clicked up and the order of the mods were: 1.Modloader 2.Optifine and 3. shader Mod. I checked the status and it returned to OK. But when I tried logging in again the same problem happened. I dont know if I did it wrong or its just that it doesnt have to do with forge. I was thinking maybe the shader mod has to have forge or maybe META - INF. Im not sure
I have a feeling its the optifine. I installed the toomanyitems and optifine was put for last and i removed shaders from magic launcher. I'm going to try redownloading optifine. When I logged in(after putting toomanyitems) the mojang logo pops up for a while and the it crashes, giving me a report:
