Hello!!!
I recently built a computer, and was really excited to install mods, as I knew it was going to be a very powerful computer that could handle mods. I can normally run Minecraft anywhere from 150-220fps. Here is my issue. Whenever I install any mods. Even something simple like Optifine, my minecraft keeps going from 150-220fps all the way to 0. It stays at 0fps for a good 5 seconds, and then goes back to the normal frame rate A few seconds later, the process repeats.Basically, I can't install mods without minecraft freezing every 10 seconds. Is there anyway to fix this? I really want to install mods, and it would really stink having a great computer that cant install mods :/ . If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this, please tell me.
Thanks in advance!!!
Computer Info:
OS: Mac OSX
Processor: i3 3220
Ram: 8gb
Graphics Card: GTX 650
Install forge modloader and put the files to the jar it is better than optifine ,you can load lots of awesome mods,if you cant install easy reply and i will tell you what you can do.
Disregard the above... try out skydaz's website (google search it.) It will go a long way to help you install mods, now optifine also adds a bunch of other undesired side effects for some people (like yourself) who suffer from an insane frame rate change.
Your computer may be able to handle mods, but its up to your graphics settings for the rest.

Sorry, but unfortunately those are all for windows and not Mac.

I did try installing Modloader, but it didn't help at all.
But thats the thing. I haven't tried it with both Modloader and Forge Modloader at the same time. I tried installing optifine with modloader by itself and it didn't work. I then got rid of Modloader and tried optifine with only Forge Modloader. Again, no prevail. Should I try it with both?

Forge, forge modloader, and modloader are 3 different things.

I tried both Forge Modloader and Modloader, but neither worked.
Than it may be a forge only mod.

Forge, forge modloader, and modloader are 3 different things.
So are you saying I should try mods on all of those seperately?
