Hello everyone... I'm now trying to make my Minecraft become a bit more beautiful by getting the mods that add many more biomes to the game....
It just requires Forge....
But there my problem starts.
Because it seems that my Minecraft with Forge refuses to work with GSLS Shaders Mod.
I've read somewhere that you first must install Forge, then Optifine HD Ultra D3, and then the GSLS Shaders mod by putting them into the minecraft.jar in this order, and of course deleting the Meta-Inf data.
So I did....
- I got a completely fresh new Minecraft (deleted everything and redownloaded).
- Checked whether it works fine... everything was right.
- Got latest Forge Universal build (minecraftforge-universal-1.5.2-7.8.0.684)
- I've opened the minecraft.jar now and deleted the Meta-Inf Folder inside.
- Then I dragged all datas from the forge zip file into the minecraft.jar.
- Tested whether everything was right and it worked fine.
- Now I got Optifine HD Ultra D3, downloaded it and dragged all its files into the minecraft.jar as well.
- Tested and it worked without problems as well. No crashes and such.
Note: I have a 16 GB Ram high quality Gaming Computer and gave Java 6 GB Ram to work with.
- Also then I got the latest Shaders Mod ..... dragged it into the minecraft.jar as well....
- Now opened Minecraft, logged in, the Forge Loading bars appear, then disappear and.... then Minecraft is stuck in a blackscreen.... no crash message. Just permament blackscreen while Java itself seems to be stuck. I then have to force Java to close, else it wont shut down....
- Also noticed that the Forge Mod had a Meta-Inf inside as well, I deleted it then, but the same problem still exists when trying to start Minecraft...
Can anyone explain me whether this is normal?...
I'd gladly appreciate help if someone gives me links to the exact download pages of the mods that work toghether on 1.5.2, or also explaining me whether I did something wrong....
Ok, solved the problem, was using an outdated shaders mod file -w-
Use
ShadersMod-mc1.5.2-ofud3-1.46
instead
ShadersMod-mc1.5.2-ofuD2-1.45.2
