I just got my new laptop and this has started happening. An example is when I start cooking something in a furnace and it turns into the active furnace block, the blocks around it become see through.

With a Google search I'm apparently supposed to update my video card drivers. I've already updated my drivers however.

I'm on Windows 8, if that matters.

Mods (installed with Magic Launcher):

ModLoader
OptiFine
Rei's Minimap
Better Sprinting

All of these mods are up to date.

Can someone help me with this? It's very annoying.

Make sure that Chunk Loading is not set to Multi-Core in the Options menu and is on Default or Smooth.
