Oh no i really screwed up bad I really hope it is fixable ok here is the story. So early today on saturday june 1st I felt brave. Very brave. So brave that i wanted to try to download.... a mod. I screwed up so i was like uh oh well i know how to fix this. So i searched up how to. it then said to DELEAT ALL THE FILES IN MINECRAFT! (except the saves) What an IDIOT I was! I booted up minecraft then hit force update it said "Will Force!" then i exited the options and hit login. It said (not downloaded ) then i was like FUUUUUU the other weird thing about it was that the button that u hit to launch the game or play offline was blurred out COMPLETELY normally when it is blurred you can still read out play offline. nope! Blurred out! I tried deleting the game then reinstalling it NOPE! Still happened and i cant force update so i don't know how to fix it. Please help me Minecraft is my favorite game in the WORLD. I don't want to lose it. Please take your time to help me please thanks- Wane22 you would be the best person in the world if u could help. now i KNOW I'm never gonna try to download and install a mod again. use the budder to help u.

You said you completely removed the game from the roaming files right? And the .exe? And just kept the saves?

Correct i got rid of bin and all of the other files yes

I would say back up your saves elsewhere, then delete your entire .minecraft folder in the AppData/Roaming folder, then re-download the launcher, and try from scratch. Then if that works, copy your saves back.

I did try this but resulted in failing i am running on OSX 10.8.3 on the macbook pro it appears when i try to redownload mine craft and look at it there is still nothing inside of the folder. So i deleted the application support file of minecraft then redownloaded it but came to no sucsess.
