When I try to load tekkit, all is normal until I actually start playing, when I do start it gives me the blue screen of death. I have a great computer, with 16 RAM. I even tried to have the smallest allocated RAM too, 512ish RAM. Can somebody please assist me?
it maybe worth testing your ram just to make sure.anyway.
can either find some programs that are very ram intensive and max out usage, if you get a BSOD its bad, maxing ram shouldn't BSOD, or download and run a program called memtest
memtest is a bootable CD that will run and test all of your ram bit by bit for faults, it can take a day to fully run
I think it might be loading far too many chunks at once. I was playing on a different server and everything was cool and what not, but then I got teleported and it screwed my computer up.
Same thing happened to me, I was just launching and installing Tekkit and then le PC BSODed. I have 32GB of Corsair Dominator Series 1866MHz RAM, so I don't think the RAM is at fault, but I may test it just to be sure. I think something is up with tekkit and large amounts of unallocated RAM to it.
