I installed a mod that wasn't the updated version, which was really stupid. I have downloaded a few mods already and have not experienced any problems. But of course, I messed up. I downloaded an old mod and replaced a ton of files that probably didn't need replacing. When I opened Minecraft it says:

Updating Minecraft
Done loading

I waited for a while and there was no progress, the screen is stuck.
I've been working on a map for a few days ago and I desperately do not want to delete it/jeopardize it. Is there a way I can fix this without having to delete my saves?

Sounds wonderful! How do I force an update?

It says:

Failed To Launch

Fatal error occurred (4) /users/aquaxo12/library/application support/minecraft/bin.jar

That doesn't sound good.

Am I supposed to un-install the first one before I install the new one?
If not, I opened up the other one and the same error code popped up.

You are officially my hero! Thank you so much, I thought all my saves would be lost!
