I've been running a bukkit server for 2 years now. I've moved a couple of times and moved my server from house to house with very little problems until recently. I moved into my wife's apartment last week and started setting up the server I did what i always have done with the server unpacked the back up, Forwarded my ports, tripple checked that i am useing the correct private ip address , and changed my no-ip address. The server will not allow anyone to connect unless with localhost. I noticed when I try forwarding the ports with firefox the ports will not change from tcp but when I do it with chrome or my wife's laptop the ports will change to tcp/udp. When I go back to look with the fox it shows them as TCP even though on Chrome or my wife's cpu it shows as TCP/UDP it even shows the ports opened online. When i try to connect I get the error connection refused : connect except when Iogin with local host. Anyone have any ideas of what I'm doing wrong
below is a link proving i've done everything right
Most routers won't let you connect to your own IP address, and thus you must connect to a server on your own computer via localhost or 127.0.0.1. Instead use http://canyouseeme.org/ to check if port 25565 is open.
