I used to have forge and many mods installed (autoswitch, mod aura, enchant view, portal gun, mo creatures) and they worked great. Well the last one I installed screwed everything up so bad that I had to get rid of the .jar and all the forge stuff, starting from scratch.
For some reason now, after I download Forge, absolutely no mods will work.
Forge works fine, but if I load any other mods (into the mods folder or straight into the .jar) I get stuck on the MOJANG screen EVERYTIME. The only things that have worked are Optifine and thebombzen API, required for the first 3 mods I listed. I've tried tons of mods from gun mods to instahouse, and i either get the mojang screen (90% of the time) or a crash related to the mod(10%).
It might be my version of forge, because the download pages are such a mess. I have Forge 7.8.0 and there's a 716 on the end, not sure what that is. I have minecraft 1.5.2.
I've also tried magic launcher, which doesn't help.
What do you think it is? I've even deleted all the minecraft files (world saves and everything) and redownloaded it with no luck. I play on a laptop (macbook if it makes a difference) 99% of the time and autoswitch is a lifesaver for mining through dirt/wood/rock without dealing with the scrolling catastrophe.
