I have been trying various ways to get SEUS and Sphax working together, including mcpatcher, magic launcher, and directly modifying the .jar. I'm having 2 issues, one being worse than the other.
1) Whenever I use SEUS, regardless of my texture pack, any tools in my hand that take up less that a block become encased in a block. I've made sure my versions of optifine and GLSL are the proper ones, and I've tried multiple sets of each.
2) I'd like to use a higher resolution version of sphax, like 256x or 512x, but my client crashes when I try to use these. I don't know if there's a way to use HD textures without patching with mcpatcher, or if there's a way to get mcpatcher to work after I've already put optifine and GLSL in the .jar. I have 6gb of ram allocated to minecraft. That has been enough in the past when I wasn't using SEUS, but I could use more if need be.
Thanks for any and all help. I'm using 64 bit windows 7 and 64 bit Java, and I have an overclocked 7970.
I actually managed to get the 256x working, but the tool gltch is still the main worry for me. I have tried faithful, in addition to Atherys Ascended, Red Craft, and even SimpleCraft. Even in default, the sword-in-block thing still happens. I'd assume this means there's some issue with the shader, but I don't know if this issue is in SEUS, GLSL, or Optifine. I haven't been able to find anyone else with this same problem, so it's quite a mystery to me.
Bump. I have ruled out any issues with the texture packs, and solved the second problem. The first problem is definitely from the shaders, and I still don't have any explanation for it
