Hey as you can read in the title minecraft crashes when I try to apply a texture pack. Here is the crash log

You simply ran out of memory. Minecraft only requests 1gb of memory, and that texture pack is HUGE. There's no way it can load it with only 1gb. You can try using SK's launcher or Magic Launcher to load minecraft with more memory, or simply use a lower res texture pack.
