So, as the title says, since the 1.5.2 update (I'm not saying it's necessarily related) I have some really horrible lag issues.
I've done my reseaches, read and saw a ton of things but nothing seems to work.
First of all, here's my settings :
MacBook Pro 13" mid 2009
1.6.8
2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
4 Go 1067 MHz DDR3
NVIDIA GeForce 9400M
I used to run minecraft quite smoothly a few weeks ago, with some lag time to time but nothing really annoying. But now my FPS gets only up to 15 and often drop down to 1.
- I've tried the minimum settings,
- disabled the full screen,
- used Optifine,
- updated java,
- went in the Info.plist and changed to <string>-Xms2048M -Xmx2048M</string>,
- cleaned my hard drive to gain free space (more than 200go free right now),
- tried to clean my mac since it was begining to run a bit slow too (used apps cleaner, CC cleaner and booted in single user mode to run a File System consistency Check),
- I've read some where that I should diseable the Automatic Graphic Switch with gfxCardStatus, and since I'm not using 1.7 I've searched for a 1.6 version but it keeps telling me that I'm using a NVIDIA GeForce 330M witch is weird 'cause I didn't know I had that and I don't have a single clue if it is better or not than the 9400M I'm a noob.
But still no change. No lag nor fps improvement. And the only mods I have are Optifine and Bettersprint.
Please help me I really don't know what else to do :/ And btw, sorry for my english I've tried my best to not hurt your eyes too much.
