I am new to Linux and am having some trouble modding minecraft with optifine.
1. I download minecraft.jar and run
2. I go to the .minecraft folder and find the minecraft.jar
3. I extract all the files to a seperate folder
4. I then open that folder and delete the META folder
5. I drag all of the files from the extracted optifine and copy them into the open minecraft.jar folder
6. Then I right click on the folder and compress it to a .jar file
7. Then make the file executublae and try to run using JDK 7 which works fine for unmodded minecraft.
I have no problem with this using 7zip but for some reason cn't figure it out in Ark. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
