Anecdote: I'm going to be forward here and say I've downloaded Minecraft yesterday. I've been wanting to play on a couple servers but they aren't updated to 1.5 so I thought it would be faster to downgrade my minecraft. After much research I thought I could use MCNostalgia to downgrade. I've uninstalled and reinstalled both Numerous times and I've researched other people who have this same issue and still haven't found anything helpful.

Problem:
I'm using the latest version of MCNostalgia I followed the steps but repeatedly it stays on 1.5
I'm using windows
My first version of Minecraft is 1.5 if that helps
Modless other than this
I've reinstalled both multiple times.
I would like to get it down to 1.4.6 if possible


Do I need to wait for him to update MCNostalgia for 1.5 or what? Am I stuck? What else do you need to know so I can help you help me?

I Really want to get on to a server that is 1.4.7, to record for my YouTube channel.But I cant because there are no MCNostalgia Downgrades for 1.4.7! Can someone help me?

If that's a link to a minecraft.jar download. Remove it. Its illegal.

this is because the people who update and maintain this have probably abandoned it. go to www.mojang.com and you should be able to download a 1.4.6 snapshot. this will work. i have done it many times. replace your current minecraft jar with this and run the latest version of mcnostalgia. downgrade to whatever you want and have fun!
if anyone wants to play a survivial island with me please tell me. i have a server set up for it
