So, I am running Minecraft 1.5.2 via MagicLauncher with mods of Optifine 1.5.2 HD D2, ModLoader, and zanMap 152. I am also running Single Player Commands as well. I am playing on the latest updated version of Lion for Mac OSX.
Recently, I tried to back up a save file of mine that I have been working hard on. When going into the saves folder deep in the depths of my computer, I cannot find the specific save.
In the past, when I installed Single Player Commands, the automated installer allowed for World Backups. I checked the box off. However, half way through the process, my computer crapped out on me, so I exited out. I was later able to still go back into my saves folder and manually back up the specific file I wanted. While the back up is there, it contains no contents of the file that I originally tried to back up.
Now, the original file can nowhere be found, but can still be played via Minecraft. I've searched my computer up and down for the save name, but still no results.
Has anyone had this problem before? My apologies in advanced if this has come up before; I tried researching and found next to nothing on this topic.
Thanks for listening, and I hope someone can help.
EDIT: Problem solved. Thanks y'all for outstanding support.
