I used to be able to play with 128x128 texture packs (Like Sphax PureBDcraft) With about 90 - 150 FPS with Optifine installed.
After updating to MineCraft 1.5 i run Sphax PureBDcraft at like 10 FPS!!!!
And yes, i remembered to install Optifine

This has been a problem for several snapshots, as well as the new update itself. They (Mojang) are aware of the issue, and are trying to get it fixed.
I am stuck on my pack creation because 512x gives me 0-1FPS
Hopefully it gets fixed soon!
