Can somebody please help me? I am trying to put together some of the major mods from FTB because FTB lags me to play. I am using 1.4.7 because industrial craft isn't updated to 1.5.1. Everything worked until I tried to install buildcraft. Now when i try to start minecraft, the majang logo appears for a very long time and i get a crash report.

I am pretty sure it has to do with the pipes but unlike most crash posts i have seen, this happens while opening minecraft and not placing a pipe. Please help me I have tried many things to fix the problem and none have worked.I forgot to mention, all of my mods are on 1.4.7 and they all work without buildcraft so please dont talk about having the right version of mods.
This is the wrong forum to post something like this in.
And to note, if playing FTB causes lag, playing with all the same mods installed will also cause lag. You're still playing the same MineCraft client full of the same mods.
My suggestion would be to go to the FTB forums and ask for help there. But I can almost guarantee I know what your problem is.
You need to go into the options of the FTB launcher, and increase the RAM allocated to MineCraft. When I first tried FTB, it lagged pretty bad. After I upped the RAM allocation from 1GB to 2GB, all the lag issues disappeared.
no i dont have NEARLY as many mods as FTB. I only used stuff like industrial craft and other major mods. There are still many mods i left out like the extra biomes and treemods because those are mods that lag my computer. anyway i just need help fixing it because i want to use these mods together.
There are newer versions of Buildcraft available for 1.4.7, you are using the very first one without any of the bugfixes that were added later in 3.4.2 or 3.4.3.
You may want to try installing a newer version with some of the fixes included.
