Okay so I recently downloaded Minecraft 1.51, i'm new to Minecraft well....I should say that I played it when it was first released but I haven't returned since the past week. I want to install the Optifine and GLSL Shaders with my game. I have a great set up for these mods so I want to enjoy the game at it's peak visual performance.
So currently I downloaded Magic Launcher and I use that to access everything. I've never dealt with mods with Minecraft to the concept is still new to me. But anyways, currently I have "Optifine 1.5.1_HD_U_B2" installed and when I open the game, I get the extra options as the mod allows me to. However there are two that do nothing, anti aliasing and anisotropic filtering do not work. When I click on them, nothing happens. I do not see the normal 2x, 4x, etc. It just say's that it's disabled or whatever. I'm not sure if I need to download another mod for this, in order to enable this? So that's the first problem I have.
The next is with GLSL Shaders. Currently I downloaded GLSL-Shaders Modified Mod 1.5.1. Not sure if there is a different version or anything but that's what it say's in my manager in Minecraft.
I've heard from other people that I need to download different versions and other shaders packs, etc? But I have no idea what to download or where I can find these things. If someone could post the EXACT links with exactly what I need to make my Minecraft look all pretty, please do so! I want things like bloom, god rays, etc. And i've seen a few mods that make the grass look nice, trees wavey, etc.
That's the stuff i'd like! Please help in whatever way you can, anything would be awesome. Thank you!
check your graphics card control panel in windows (or whatever os you have), make sure its set to use application settings, it might be the control panel is over riding the game settings?
