I'm running the newest version of Tekkit. My game will randomly crash my whole computer. It seems like it just shuts down my graphics card. The rest of the pc stays running but I can hear the graphics fan shut down. This is the only game it does it on. Tried all new drivers, fresh install of mine craft and Tekkit. Adding more ram to Tekkit. Nothing works.
Does it produce any sort of crash report? If so, post it. This probably is an outdated graphics card that is inadequate to handle minecraft. Minecraft although looks like a very simple game, is extremely taxing on even the most advanced computers. Have you tried turning down the graphics?
No crash report whatsoever. Just seems to shut down my card. Its got a gtx 570, running minimum graphics, on balanced, normal render distance, fan turned up to 75%. Newest drivers. The card is less than 6 months old and works flawlessly on skyrim and anything else.
