Just wondering as to why my minecraft is using up so much ram with a texture pack on. I allocated 3GB of RAM to the game and it just spikes to 3.8GB and then when I gave it 4GB of RAM it just went up to 5.2GB, which is causing Hr_Err reports to be created when the game randomly crashes.
I'm using LB Realism Texture pack 256x along with a few mods;
Forge
Optifine
Not Enough Items
Damage Indicator
Why are the textures packs so demanding? Vanilla it runs stable at 1GB and never peaks any more than that really. It seems to just take more and more ram the more I allocate?
It's because if the resolution is very high, it uses more RAM... ##.##GB i think its a glitch in the debug screen or whatever you use, 32x32 and 64x64's are less resorce demanding. PS. AND LESS LAGGY!
