I followed the directions to download ModLoader and TooManyItems. After installing Modloader, I opened Minecraft, and it worked. After installing TooManyItems, I tried to open Minecraft and it would not open

the crash report is pointing at modloader.
you don't need modloader installed to use tmi, try starting fresh (do a force update) and just installing tmi
TL;DR common issues: You must install TMI into minecraft.jar. Putting it in the mods folder won't work. Not all features work in MP, and you need permissions. There is a config file in the same place as your saves folder. Does not require any other mods, but if you have ModLoader or Forge (not both!) infinite survival stacks will work properly. If it crashes, post the crash report (look in your minecraft folder for TMI's own error dumps). Use the correct version! Delete META-INF. Alt-click to remove favorites.
