i am co admin of a private server me and my friends run, we've been loading it up with mods and really enjoying it until recently.
The mobs disappeared. The mobs kept spawning under one of our members build area apparently.
IN HORDES! I'm talking 80 at max. We eventually cleared them out after several deaths and even though it was fun... we've never seen this mechanic before in the mods we have and we're certain it's the reason mobs are not spawning anywhere else. We cleared it out and lit it up. But they kept coming back spawning in a specific area we had tracked down. there is an area in the mineshaft under our member's area that we cleared out its a 2x2x1 block that we are unable to place blocks on. I went into creative and placed admin blocks around it but we can't seem to figure it out, we even placed lava and water to make the server place a block there and even though that worked the zombies (and zombies only) spawned and suffocated within the obsidian blocks.
we're at the point now where they only spawn when we warp away and then warp back. We believe they warp when nobody is in the cluster because they do not spawn when we're nearby. Though the place is lit up and sealed they are still spawning.
Any ideas suggestions or anything would be helpful as we really want to play with hostile mobs.
we have several mods but the only ones that play with mobs is the utility mobs and special mobs mods we installed. we've had these mods installed for awhile and only recently has this bugg appeared.
