So I recently switched over from modloader to forge due to there being a LOT more forge mods that i wanna play around with, but at the same time I love the feeling of vanilla survival so i was wondering is there a way i can turn on/off mods at my discretion?

All you have to do is remove the mods you wish to turn off from the /.minecraft/mods/ folder. If you wish for them to be added in again, just place them back in there.
Please note that mods that do terrain generation such as ores, biomes, structures are typically ones you should not remove. Removing them can cause world corruption. And any mod you remove will remove any items you have obtained, or placed in the world that is linked to the mod.
