Why can't I use the /pex group command?

So i've just downloaded the permissionsEx plugin, and it was great. A lot of people said that it was great, and i just had this one weird problem. When i wanted to use the /pex group command, it said that I don't have enough permissions. Can anyone please help me? Thank you.
