I have tried to install Tale of Kingdoms mod and Divine RPG mod but both of them pop up with a message that says I can't get this because of some reason I do not know of. Does anyone know why?
Word of warning: I am a noob to Minecraft modding, but not one to modding. Been modding the heck out of my games since Darkstone.
I had the same problem and here is how I fixed it. I have no clue why it worked, only that it worked and runs acceptably with buildcraft, forestry, betterbees, Tales of Kingdoms, Divine RPG and Ars Magica. Had Ruins in there, but there were too many new buildings around. So got rid of it.
First off get IDResolver. I'm sure there is a way you can resolve name conflicts manually, but this works fine for me. Install eadch of the mods one at a time. Run the game after each one. Let IDResolver assign any new IDs that conflict with a mod. But the key to getting this to work right after twenty or so tries is to load each mod individually instead of all at the same time. Then run the game. Fix any conflicts. I couldn't get redpower 2 to work, but meh can live without it. I got a heck of a lot more than I thought possible. Those big four mods are huge and din't think they could play nicely with each other. But I'm stubborn and bashed the heck out of them till they worked. Now all the spawns from the mods spawn correctly. The new ores are in there and it is brilliant. Ars Magica seems like it was made for Divine RPG. The extra spells really come in handy against the mobs in that games. The spells against vanilla mobs is so boring. But now I have a challenge to actually use these spells to survive. Tales 2 runs perfectly fine too. Only a few mobs don't drop coins, but I can live with that. Everything else seems fine
As before I'm a noob to this minecraft modding, but after trial and error I seem to have a stable game with my fav mods in it.No crashes. No unusual behavior. Everything is where it is supposed to be and all there is to do is enjoy the game.
Hope this helps.
