I have a laptop that i've been using to play minecraft for a while. It averages out to 30 fps, but I adjusted. The other day, I took it in for repair to get the fan cleaned out. I got a call from the place telling me it had a failed hard drive. I picked it up and checked it out, and it was pretty much exactly like it was before it had been turned in. So I open up minecraft and start playing. It starts to lag on me, so I decided to get optifine to help out. But now, I only have about 4 fps when playing with all minimal settings. Remember, this was running 30 about a week ago, and nothing has changed (I'm guessing the failed hard drive had been around awhile). I don't have any money whatsoever now and my parents are nearly broke, so does anyone have any ways for me to fix this lag without needing to replace the hard drive?
