Ok, i realize that there are about a million people asking this same question. I have read many of these and none of them help. I am just getting sick and tired of looking for it and i decided this is my last option before i resort to giving up on modded minecraft. Recently i noticed that Flan has re-formatted his mods, and i became intrigued by this and now i want to install it. But one problem is i can't get past Modloader. First I deleted my minecraft folder (back upped my saves of course) and re-installed minecraft to get rid of any stray files. Then i got MCNostalgia and changed my game back to 1.2.5. Then i went to Risigumies page clicked on old downloads and came to a page full of modloaders. I downloaded modloader A1.2.5 (or something along those lines). I installed this manually by dragging and dropping all the files in the .ZIP file into my minecraft.jar, deleted META-INF, and proceded to run MC to test if it worked. Black screen. After fiddeling around for a bit i decided to see if modloader worked on my 1.4.2 version. Did the steps to install it and it worked! But sadly Flan's mods are not for 1.4.2 they are only for 1.2.5. This is really buggind me. Note that an error log has not appeared so i do not have one available. I am running off windows 7. If more info is required ask me. If you can help i will be greatly oblidged for you to take your time and help me

IS there maybe a modloader 1.2.5b?

Try using MultiMC. It makes adding mods much easier. There are a few videos in the thread that explain how to use the program. It also has mcnostalgia built in.

Thanks sounds great i'm gonna try it out, if it doesn't work(wich by what you told me it shoulden't) i'll tell you, in case you have any other ideasDoes any one by chance know where i can find a working modloader for 1.2.5?

No i checked but there were modloaderb's for other versions. Idaho

If MultiMC doesn't work you can try magic launcher. That seems to work really well.

Allright MultiMC worked, but i still can't get modloader working, i will try the 1.2.4 version but where is it. When i was on Flans thread he had a link to the Risigumies(Spelled wrong but you know what i mean) page.I'm also afraid to download anything off forum in case it's bugged, or its just the wrong thing.

The A1.2.5 that you downloaded was for the alpha version of minecraft, it's like 2 years old.

In flans mod thread, there is a 1.2.4 version, and the modloader 1.2.4 is still there. You may want to try that.
