Hi there!
At the moment, I'm not sure why, but I cannot join LAN with anyone. I tried joining both my brothers and sisters LAN worlds and it just keeps saying "Connecting to server..."
But here is the weird part: They can join MY Lan world. Really odd, I know. Is there something I should do? The only mod I use is optifine, and they don't use any mods. The internet connection is fine, I just simply cannot join. Any help would be hugely appreciated! Thanks!
Ben
Make sure that they are giving you the correct IP address for you to get into their world. Because if they keep giving you an address that starts with "0.0.0.0", then they are giving you the wrong address.
Also, don't try connecting through the "Scanning for LAN worlds" section, instead click "Add Server" and add the LAN IP in there.
I tried adding it through the add server button, but that did not work. Also, he has the 0.0.0.0 etc address, what should I do?
direct connect and its not 0.0.0.0 what that ip is means that youre trying to connect to yourself. usually the other ip is 10.x.x.x.xx or 192.x.x.x.x even 0.0.0.1/2/3/4 every computer on a router has a different adress on a router thats the ip you should be connecting to when you connect to someone elses computer within your network. can easily be found on a windows machine by bringing up a command prompt and typing ipconfig looking for you IPV4 thats the adress you want to hook up locally
