The Linux/Ubuntu laptop I'm using can't download a plugin I need for minecraft. I tried to download the demo on minecraft.net, but it says I need a plugin, and when I try to download the plugin, it says the plugin isn't availible on the laptop. Minecraft.net says it is availible on Linux computers, so I'm confused a bit.
THe one you are using is the Minecraft Demo on the browser and I don't think that's gonna work in Ubuntu. Download the game and get Java to play it. (Experience)

And BTW you should buy the game and not use the Online Version....
It does work.
The icon for Java is a cup of coffee but it can look like a iced tea.
