Hey, I have a problem that I hope can be fixed soon.
I am on 1.5 on a Macbook Pro 10.7.5 and whenever I install ANY mod so far, (from Modloader to Forge to Zan's Minimap) my sound doesn't work. However, if I delete the modded Minecraft.jar and replace it with a clean one, my sounds will work again. I have deleted metainf and I have tried everything I know. Please help, I really want to be able to use sounds and have mods at the same time!

Hm... have you checked if the resource sound files (they should be in your .Minecraft folder) are still there when you've modded the client, and that the sound files in the jar are also still there. If not try taking an unmodded .jar and moving the sound files from there to the modded .jar (from what i remember i think the paulscode file in the jar is the file that has all the sounds and etc. Just google it to be safe. Also make sure your audio drivers are up to date. Check this first before anything else! Hope this helps!

Well, it seems that if I use JUST Optifine my sounds work fine, but if I try to add any other mods such as Zan's Minimap, the sounds don't work. I checked my Resources folder and everything is there. Also my paulscode file seems to have everything, I tried copying + pasting everything in my vanilla paulscode folder to my modded Minecraft.jar one but no help... I have no idea how to check my drivers on my Mac computer, so that doesn't really help me. :/ Thanks for the feedback though.
