Hey guys, so I just wanted to ask you the following. When I updated to 1.5 I just didn't like it. I went on the internet and downgraded my minecraft. So now I'm wondering, When I download optifine and open Minecraft, I log in, and then a black screen comes up and it never loads. I erased the file "META-INF" and it still doesn't work. Am I doing something wrong? anyone has done it before? Please help.
Try using MCNostalgia to downgrade, prefferably the one contained inside MultiMC, as it downgrades FULLY instead of just gameplay effecting things. Then just put the optifine folder inside the JarMods folder for MultiMC, and it should work.
Before I upgrade to 1.5, I save a copy of the 1.4.7 Minecraft.jar. That way, I can replace the .jar's if I want to downgrade instead of getting it off the internet. It also prevents problems like that from occurring.

Are you sure your using the version of Optifine for 1.4.7? Or are you still using the 1.5 version from when you updated?
