Okay, so I've been able to narrow to problem from my previous post down to Forge itself, not the mods I install. I'm installing the latest Forge, the universal link. I've followed the instructions as stated by opening the minecraft.jar, copying and pasting the Forge files into the newly made minecraft.jar folder (I get asked what to do with matching file names and I click replace all), I deleted the Mojang files from the Meta folder. It seems like Forge installs okay, Minecraft opens up fine and Forge loads up everything. The problem comes to opening my inventory or the menu while in game. For whatever reason, as soon as I press "E" or "Esc", the screen goes to the "Shutting down internal server" page and then opens up a crash report. I've tried installing Minecraft and forge over again but it keeps happening. I can't get it to force update either, it spits out an error message saying Access Denied to minecraft.jar . I've tried turning off Read Only on it but for whatever reason it keeps reverting back and enabling it. Help?
I was able to install Forge correctly on my Macbook so I assumed it would be a piece of cake for my brother's pc laptop, but unfortunately this is where I am having the most trouble.
Okay, I've been able to narrow down the problem even further, it seems the crash report is saying the problem is with the _aux.class . Any suggestions on how to fix? I'm still getting MC to crash every time I open my inventory or press Esc
