I just installed forge today because it was required to use the dragon mounts mod, but when I started a world just to make sure it worked it was very slow in game and after a short time it crashed and gave me the internal error message froze then went to the classic minecraft has crashed screen, I have yet to install the dragon mod, just forge and player api. all for minecraft 1.4.6, I also used mc patcher before all of this.

MC Patcher is the problem. It is very difficult to use and screws over anyone who tries to use it. At least, that happens to me...

Use Optifine instead, it increases your FPS and does the same thing as MC Patcher.
